Agincourt: Lamplighter [lakeshore-records]
AgincourtDB is David Blackstone, a Washington D.C./Baltimore Area musician, arranger, and composer. Heavily influenced both by minimalist composers like Steve Reich and Terry Riley and by electronic pioneers like Morton Subotnick, he is using modern computer-based recording and MIDI sequencing techniques to create his complex and atmospheric music. He attended Capitol University, Montgomery College, and the Catholic University of America, and plays or engineers with numerous bands and ensembles in the area, most notably the Baltimore reggae/ska outfit "The Players Band".

Wrench: Action, Consequential Action
music that tends toward the quiet end of electronica: atmosphere with beats.
It's a bit unique in its emphasis on chordal progression and pad movement, often entirely lacking any lead line. In the more successful tunes a melody is implied more than defined.
I began this enterprise because I was no longer able to find music that engaged and excited me the way music did at one time. I had enough tools and experience to move ahead with this and naturally learned a great deal more in the doing.

USB: Tilt
This is the second album from the UK based producer USB. USB makes electronica, primarily IDM in its many forms ranging from commercial to experimental. The main criteria for a USB track is that it must contain melody, and that melody should be the main focus of what draws the listener in. No two tracks are alike, so the listener is taken on a very varied journey of moods and emotions from melancholic to uplifting. This is electronica that doesn't sound how you would expect electronic music to sound, but has a more organic feel to it. Fans of Plaid, Black Dog Productions, Boards of canada, Autechre and proem might do well to check this album out.

FAC Productions: Geek
This is the third album by FAC Productions, composed between 2005-2006. The album is divided in two sides: the Geek side (first six tracks), which contains the most experimental stuff, and the Nice side (last six tracks), containing songs with a style similar to the first two albums: mellow, moody, melodic. In general, there is a higher level of maturity in all compositions, resulting in a more coherent album.

FAC Productions: Sacalepunta
Sacalepunta, the fourth album by FAC Productions, follows a more experimental path than the previous efforts, combining software and hardware tools to produce a series of slowly-morphing tracks and evolving textures, with many instrument parts recorded from live improvisations instead of being sequenced.

Wet Dentist: You Are Free Pts.1&2
NeoNewWaveElectroProg This 2008 release by Wet Dentist is a 10 song avalanche, or 10 acid-laced tornadoes where listeners may detect a little Devo, Brainiac, Butthole Surfers, Public Enemy, and a billion other things. But specifically, this is Wet Dentist at its most Wet Dentist, moreso than even 2005s Debt Speculator if you can believe that. This can blow your mind, if you let it.

Sam Hoffmann: Somewhere Else
Quiet, simple, peaceful solo piano music; melodic and pensive. The music is as much in the space between the notes as it is in the notes themselves. It is passion with restraint.
